Family Day 2026

Solebury Friends Meeting Family Day: All Are Welcome!
Solebury Friends Meeting invites you to our Family Day on Sunday, June
14th, 2026.

Solebury Meeting’s Children’s First Day School concludes every June with
the celebration of Family Day.

Here is the schedule for the day: Meeting for Worship in the Meetinghouse
begins at 10:00 am. At 10:45 the children walk from the Education
Building to the Meetinghouse. After announcements at 11 o’clock, each
child who has successfully completed the First Day School program is
presented with a book to mark this achievement. The First Day School
teachers thoughtfully choose books they believe will be just right for each
child.

All present then share lunchtime. Weather permitting, tables and chairs
are set up outdoors, and our Hospitality Committee serves up hot dogs,
condiments, and beverages. Members and attenders bring side dishes
and desserts. The buffet-style lunch is deliciously presented in the kitchen
of the Education Building.

Lunch is followed by games and activities for the children and their
families. This year Justin Nawn from the Birdhouse in Lambertville will be
on hand to add his wonderful music and fun to the festivities.
We welcome the wider community to join us for Family Day. It is an
opportunity for others to get to know us.
