Today our Meeting hosted its third annual Autumn Open House. It was attended by seventy members, guests, including twenty young children. The event’s purpose was to open the doors of our Quaker community while enjoying fun activities, lots of food and an historic tour of the ancient graveyard and Meetinghouse.
Our unique worship service was followed by groaning tables of food, pumpkin painting, children’s bouncy house, music for dancing. and a history laden graveyard presentation. Rhythm and dance music was provided by Justin Nawn of the Bird House Center for the Arts who specialized in child centered programs.
Both newcomers and veterans to our venue mingled and made new friends. A good time was had by all on a beautiful Autumn day.
